What does Paris say try to justify marrying Juliet at such a young age?
In Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," Paris doesn't attempt to justify marrying Juliet at a young age. It's Lord Capulet, Juliet's father, who tries to justify the hasty marriage arrangement. He argues that Juliet is of marriageable age, already 13 years old, and that it would be beneficial to make her a Countess by marrying her to Paris, a nobleman.
