The Columbus Funny Bone Comedy Club opened in 1987 and since then, talent such as Paul Reiser, Drew Carey, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Elaine Boozler, D.L. Hughley and Brett Butler have performed at this location. Reservations are recommended as most shows sell out and pre-show diners get the best seats in the house. Tables accommodate four people and while couples dine alone, they get paired with another couple once the show begins. Comedians perform nightly beginning at 7:30 p.m. with the doors opening two hours in advance. The Funny Bone Comedy Club is Columbus’ only venue with nightly comedy shows and is located in the Easton Plaza Square Center.

Shadowbox is a 20 year-old performance troupe that self-produces it's own shows. These performances include traditional musicals, original rock operas, contemporary dance and sketch comedy at their very own club--The Shadowbox Sketch Comedy and Rock & Roll Club. Reservations in advance require a deposit and are mandatory, as they do not issue traditional tickets. There is no age requirement however adult language and subjects are prevalent. A large table can accommodate a party of eight and seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

The Gadfly Cafe is a cafe and theater for teenagers only, and they jokingly states that anyone over the age of 19 must be accompanied by a teenager. Although there are a wide range of acts, Improv and Stand Up comedy are performed Thursday through Saturday. The Gadfly Cafe has the ambiance of a bustling coffee shop and offers snacks and sodas.
