Karaoke Bars in Pittsburgh, PA

Although Pittsburgh has become more upscale and diversified over the years, it still has maintained many of its blue-collar roots in which people would rather watch a football game than stand in front of a crowd and sing. As such, the karaoke opportunities are somewhat limited in Pittsburgh compared with other cities. There are, however, a few bars in and around Pittsburgh where you can sing karaoke on selected evenings.
  1. Obey House Tavern

    • The Obey House Tavern on Steuben Street offers karaoke two nights a week, hosted by a disc jockey. Monday's karaoke show is from 7 to 11, and Friday's goes from 9:30 to 1:30 a.m.. The musical selection is pretty diverse, although no hip-hop or rap is allowed. Other events throughout the week include open mike nights, ladies nights and various live entertainers. Guests bartenders also occasionally make appearances. Obey House's kitchen is open from 4 to 11 most nights of the week, and the bar gets going at 3 p.m. A happy hour with reduced drinks is held daily from 5 to 7 p.m. The Obey House offers 23 domestic and seven imported bottled beers. It also serves four domestic draft beers.
