How to Hook Up a DigiTech RP50 to a PC

The DigiTech RP50 emulates the sound of 11 different amp setups and has the capability of processing up to eight--of the 20 available--guitar effects at one time. Connecting the DigiTech to your PC isn't much different than setting up your guitar, amp and pedal for practice or a show.

  • 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch Adapter

Instructions

    • 1

      Plug one end of an instrument cable into the input jack on your guitar, and plug the opposite end of the cable into the jack labeled "Input" on you RP50.

      Plug a second instrument cable into the "Output" port on the back of your RP50. Plug the opposite end of the instrument cable into the port labeled "Input" on the front of your guitar amp.

      Insert a third instrument cable into the "Output/Phones" port on the front of your guitar amp. Plug the opposite end of the third instrument cable into the "In" port on the back of your equalizer.

      Insert one end of a fourth instrument cable into the "Out" port on the back of your equalizer. Plug the free end of the fourth instrument cable into the 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch adapter, and then plug the adapter into the line-in port on your computer's sound card.

      Plug your guitar amp's power cable into a power outlet and then turn it on. Plug your equalizer into a power outlet and turn it on. Connect the tip of the RP50's power supply into the DC power port on the back of the RP50, and plug the transformer end of the cable into a power outlet.
