How to Put Synth Into Magix Music Maker

Magix Music Maker is a versatile music recording program that offers audio and MIDI recording. The program is priced competitively but also offers a free trial from the Magix website (See Reference 1). Audio from external sources is easily mixed within the software. Synthesizers may also be added to create rich textures and complex audio mixes. The program is designed for the novice. It features a dedicated pane in the lower right of the program window to offer quick tutorials on any feature clicked with the mouse. It is possible to put a synth into Magix Music Maker and begin making music within minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Magix Music Maker. A full-screen window will appear featuring many empty tacks. If you are using the free trial version, an initial screen will appear to suggest purchasing the program. You may bypass this screen by indicating the "Try" option and pressing the "OK" button.

    • 2

Click the "View" menu at the top of the Magic Music Maker program window.

    • 3

      Select the "Media Pool" sub-menu.

    • 4

Choose the "Synthesizer" option. Alternately, press the "F7" key on the keyboard to choose the "Synthesizer" option without navigating the program menus. A new pane will open at the bottom of the program window. All the installed synthesizers are listed. Magix Music Maker conveniently includes many synthesizers in the default program configuration. Additional synths may be listed if you purchased them separately from other companies.

Press the "Play" button in the center of the middle transport pane of the program window.

    • 7
