How to Connect M-Audio & PCDJ

While computer technology has revolutionized the music studio, it has also made a lasting impact on live music production.       Install the M-Audio Fast Track Pro sound card in your computer. This particular audio device from M-Audio is the recommended hardware for working with PCDJ.

      Turn the mix knob on the Fast Track Pro device to the full right, in "PB" position (playback).

      Open the PCDJ software. Choose the "CFG" option from the program menu at the top of the software window. A pop-up window will appear.

      Select the "Fast Track Pro Out 1/2" option in the drop-down menus for "Player 1" and "Player 2" in the pop-up configuration editor of PCDJ. Choose the "Fast Track Pro Out 3/4" option in the "Cue Mix" drop-down menu.

      Press the "OK" button. The PCDJ program is now connected to the M-Audio Fast Track Pro device.

      Switch between the main audience mix and the DJ cue mix by pressing the "A/B" button on the front of the Fast Track Pro.
