You'll connect to a USB 2.0 port on your computer.

Connect the Mbox 2 Mini to your computer using a standard USB cable. A USB port is on the rear of the Mbox. Do not launch Pro Tools LE before making this connection, because the software won't function if it can't locate the Mbox 2 Mini.

Use 1/4-inch instrument and headphone cables to connect to your Mbox.

Connect stereo speakers to the rear of the Mbox 2 Mini using standard RCA cables. There's a jack for headphones, too. Before connecting a microphone to the rear of the device using an XLR cable, check your microphone's manual to find out whether you will need to use the Mbox's "phantom power" switch. This adds 48 volts that can power components on some microphones. You can also connect a 1/4-inch cable to the front of the Mbox 2 Mini and use it with a keyboard or guitar.
