Watch some of the most popular Animusic videos to become familiar with the timing and the feel of Animusic videos. The Pipe Dream video is a very popular representation of Animusic; it's available on YouTube. The video shows a machine making complicated movements to a matching rhythm and jazz music.
Select your music. This can be anything from haunting background instrumentals to the latest pop hit. Most popular Animusic videos have a pop-rock feel to them or else instrumental music.
Find an animated scene that matches up with the music. You can choose your scene based on the music or match your music to the animated scene, whichever one inspires you to create the video. Think about the mood of the music. Do not place happy music with a dark animated scene, as it will not match. Truly effective Animusic captures a particular mood, both in video and in sound.
Start Windows Movie Maker. You can use whichever movie-making program you want, but Windows Movie Maker is very easy to use.
Preview your animation clips. Play them either by clicking on the clip and pressing the "Play" button or by simply double-clicking the clip and watching it play automatically.
Drag your chosen clips down to the storyboard. Make sure you arrange them in the right order for your video. Press the "Play" button to see how the clips play in sequence.
Edit the length or sequence of the movie by clicking on the "Show Timeline" button right above the storyboard. From there you can stop the video at the places you want to erase. Then click on the "Clip" tab at the top of the page and choose "set start trim point." Play the video until the part you want to erase is over, and then go to the "clip" tab and choose "set end trim point."
Add your music by going to the "Capture Video" section of the task pane and choosing "import music or audio." Click on the music you want for the Animusic video and select "Import."
