Open the project with the vocal track to be processed. Press "F12" to enter Cool Edit's editing mode. Select the audio track with the mouse and press "R" to bring up the noise reduction tool. Select the reduction to be between 90 and 95 percent and click "Get Profile From Selection." Press "OK" to finalize the edit. If there are any doubles of the track or part, apply this to them as well.
Select the vocal tracks and open the noise reduction menu again. Select the "Click/Pop Eliminator" and load the setting "Constant Hiss and Crackle." Click "Auto Find Levels" and press "OK."
Next to the track name in the edit window, click the effects box. Select "Effects" followed by "Filters," and then "Graphic Equalizer." Some microphones may not be suited for recording vocals. Equalizers help this by enhancing frequencies. Apply equalization as desired. Back at the effects menu, select "Delay Effects" followed by "Reverb." Apply reverb as desired.
