How to Convert a Dell Axim Into a Multitrack Recorder
Dell Axim is one of a generation of PDA-like portable computers that run Microsoft Windows Mobile for Pocket PC as an operating system. As such, with the right complement of rare and esoteric software and hardware add-ons, you can use it as a nano-sized portable recording studio. The quality of sound you get partially depends on how good your microphones are, of course, but some electronics and software provide low noise, 24-bit dynamic range, a wide range of sampling rates, two simultaneous recording channels, many tracks, great flexibility and sophisticated effects processing.
