How to Troubleshoot a Lexicon Lambda

The Lexicon Lambda Desktop Recording Studio is a combination of hardware and software that connects to your computer through a USB port for professional multitrack recording. Occasionally, you may experience issues with your Lexicon Lambda. Follow certain troubleshooting techniques to resolve them. Note that you may need administrative privileges to perform certain steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Check hardware connections. Make sure your instruments, microphone, external recorder, speaker and headphones are connected to the corresponding ports on the Lambda Studio rear panel. Loose connections can create issues with your recording.

    • 2

Reinstall the Cubase LE 4 and Lexicon Pantheon plug-in software. Certain recording issues may originate from corrupt plug-in software or faulty device drivers. The installation CD is provided. Insert the disc into your CD/DVD-ROM drive and follow on-screen prompts to reinstall the required software, plug-ins and device drivers.

    • 3

Adjust the buffer settings. Launch Cubase LE 4 from the Start menu under "All Programs." Click the "Devices" tab and choose "Device Setup." Click "VST Multitrack." Click the "Control Panel" button. Drag the "Lambda Stream Reliability" slider toward "More CPU" to decrease monitoring latency. Click "OK."

Fix audio playback artifacts such as clicking or popping sounds. Navigate back to the "Control Panel" from last step. Drag the "Lambda Stream Reliability" slider toward "Less CPU" until it stabilizes. Click "OK."
