Choose two or more songs that are similar in composition structure. For example, use the eight-bar blues. Mixing and matching is relatively easy because there are countless songs composed to this structure.
An eight-bar blues song might go like this:
Bar 1: C7
Bar 2: C7
Bar 3: F7
Bar 4: F7
Bar 5: C7
Bar 6: C7
Bar 7: G7
Bar 8: F7

Open up Adobe Audition by double-clicking the icon on your desktop. A multi-track view is opened when the program is launched.
Right-click on one of the tracks, and select your first song.
Listen to the song. Count out one bar of the song. The song will be in 4/4 time, meaning it will have four quarter notes per bar. As you count, press the "Pause" button just as the second bar begins. It should sound like this: "One, two, three, four, click".
Cut the song at this point using the "Scissor" tool, which is located in the top-left toolbar.
Delete the remainder of the song.
Right-click on another track, and add the next song that you want to mix.
Find the portion of the song that you want to use.
Count one bar. Cut the song at the beginning of beat one, and again after beat four.
Slide this portion to the end of the first song you cut. Press "Play." The songs should play together and sound like the same song.
Repeat this process with as many songs as desired to create one complete song.
