How to Hook Up the TC Helicon Voicetone Correct Pitch Vocal Voice Pedal to Your Computer

Hooking up a TC-Helicon Voicetone Correct pitch vocal voice pedal to your computer requires a computer audio interface and standard XLR-equipped microphone cables. The Voicetone Correct is a vocal processor that includes automatic adaptive equalization, compression, de-essing and pitch correction for live and studio use, and is connected in a manner similar to that of sound mixers and other audio equipment.

Instructions

      Connect the audio interface to the computer by plugging a USB or Firewire cable into the interface and computer USB or Firewire port. Most interfaces are "plug and play" and require no driver installation, but consult the owner's manual if difficulty arises.

      Insert the female plug of a standard XLR cable into the microphone output jack.

      Insert the male XLR plug into the TC-Helicon "Mic Input" jack located on the back of the unit.

      Insert the female XLR jack from the second microphone cable into the TC-Helicon Voicetone Correct "Main" output jack.

      Insert the male XLR plug of the second microphone cable into the XLR input of the audio interface.

      Connect the supplied Voicetone Correct power adapter to the pedal by inserting the mini-plug into the "Power" jack on the rear panel and the power adapter transformer into a standard wall plug. The unit will turn on automatically.

      Start the computer recording software program, adjust settings of the Voicetone Correct pedal and perform a brief recording to test for operation and proper recording levels.
