Hip Hop Clubs in Atlanta

Nightclubs and dance clubs have been popular in the United States for decades, and they are showing no signs of letting up. In fact, many new nightclubs are being opened nearly every day all around the country, and especially in Atlanta, Georgia. With the raving hip-hop scene in Atlanta, it’s no wonder that a lot of these night clubs cater mainly to the hip-hop crowd.
  1. CosmoLava

    • CosmoLava, a trendy nightclub with three full levels that house both the Lava Lounge and Cosmopolitan Lounge, is centrally located in midtown Atlanta. Opened in 1999, CosmoLava provides a fun party atmosphere both inside and outside the club. Anyone age 21 and over can gain admission to the Cosmopolitan Lounge Wednesday through Friday from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. and on Saturday from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m., and the Lava Lounge is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. There is adequate parking nearby and paid valet services as well.

    Leopard Lounge

    • The Leopard Lounge, another hip-hop nightclub located in midtown Atlanta, is open Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Private parties can be booked at the Leopard Lounge on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Opened in 1997, the Leopard Lounge has a $5 to $10 cover charge depending on the event, with parking located across the street. A strict dress code that allows no hats, sneakers, or athletic apparel is enforced here.

    Mark Ultralounge

    • The Mark Ultralounge, opened in 2003, features in-house musicians and deejays who play all styles of popular music, including hip-hop. The cover charge for the Mark Ultralounge depends on your gender, so it’s typically much cheaper for a woman to spend a night here than for a man. Located in downtown Atlanta, there is plenty of parking in nearby parking garages and on the street. Valet parking is also available.

    Compound

    • On the city’s west side you can find the Compound hip-hop nightclub. Opened in 2004, the Compound enforces an upscale yet casual dress code that still allows patrons to relax and feel comfortable while they look their best. There are regular special events held at the“Compound, and the club is also available for private parties as well.
