How to Stop Scrolling in the Arrange Window in Logic Pro 8

Logic Pro is one of the leading software programs available in musical production. It allows you to edit, arrange, compose and record music right from your computer. As with every program, Logic Pro has a few faults and glitches. One of the most annoying faults is the auto-scroll feature. This feature causes the visual audio to scroll across the screen while the music plays back, and can cause difficulty during the editing process.

Instructions

    • 1

Run Logic Pro, click on "File" and select "Open." Browse for the file you wish to edit and select "OK."

    • 2

Switch to the arrange window. To do this, ensure none of the tabs at the bottom are selected. This includes mixer, sample editor, piano roll, score and hyper editor.

    • 3

Press the playback button. The visual audio will begin to scroll along along as usual.

    • 4

Click the stop auto-scroll button. This is marked with a logo of a small running man. Once you click this, the music will continue to play but the visual audio will no longer move.
