  1. Power

    • The Peavey Combo 300 runs at 300 watts when powered with 2 ohms and 210 watts when powered at 4 ohms. The amp has a frequency response ranging from 20 to 20,000 hertz. It has less than 0.2 percent harmonic distortion when powered between 100 to 200 watts at 4 ohms. The power consumption of the amp is rated at 800 watts.

    Features

    • The Peavey Combo 300 has two gain inputs to adjust volume at the pre-gain and post-gain levels. The low band has settings for body, bottom, punch, and timbre. The high band has settings for clarity, brightness, presence, and edge. It has an input jack for external speakers and a crossover knob to adjust the amp for more than one instrument simultaneously.

    DDT Compression

    • The Combo 300 uses Distortion Detection Technique compression, which occurs whenever the amp is in use. A light on the front panel marked "Compression" flashes when the amp is being overworked. It's a warning sign that the gain must be turned down to prevent distortion or the equalization levels must be changed to protect the amp.
