Call up iTunes and type the name of the artist or the title of a song from the album into the iTunes search bar. The results will show the album that song is from. The only problem is the album has to be available on iTunes, so it may not list old or obscure albums.
Enter the name or partial name of a song, artist or album into the search bar of a website like Find the CD, TagTuner, or Jamendo.
Use Shazam to determine the name, artist and album for a song if you do not know any information but have a recording of the song. Download the Shazam application to your smartphone, open it and let it listen to the song. It will then tell you all the information you need to know.
Download a program like TuneUp to organize your music library. It will automatically rename unknown tracks, artists and albums so you don't have to type out each one.
