How to Find the Name of a Song Based on Lyrics

Do you have a song stuck in your head but cannot seem to remember the name of the song or who it’s by? Don’t worry--by properly utilizing a search engine, the answer to your song in question is only a few steps away.

Instructions

  1. Searching With Google

    • 1

      Navigate to Google.com.

    • 2

Type in the lyrics to the song you are searching for and click "Google Search."

If the lyrics to the song do not show up on the first page of results, try typing in another phrase from the song. If you are still having trouble finding the name to the song, try a more specific search engine such as Songlyrics.com.
