How to Install a Multi-Pin Snake
An audio snake is a large cable that houses internal audio cables. Depending on the type of audio snake you have, there can be up to 64 audio lines in a single cable. These cables are used to connect multiple audio devices, such as microphones and amplifiers, to the same location. One of the most effective audio snakes is a multi-pin snake. These audio cables have a large adapter head that uses pins to plug into the source, creating a strong connection.

Lift the metal locking latch on the mount at the end of the snake to the up position.

Place the snake mount over the mount on the metal audio chassis -- hub for all the equipment cables -- and align the snake mount so that the pins fit in the holes on the chassis mount.
