How to Make a Playlist for Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro

Voyetra Digital Orchestrator Pro, sometimes referred to as Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro, is a MIDI sequencing and editing tool. With it you can program and sequence orchestral music using MIDI-triggered samples. So if you have a sample of a string ensemble, you can "play" the string ensemble notes with your MIDI-enabled keyboard or by using data commands in the program. Creating a playlist in Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro lets you scroll seamlessly through your sound library without opening new sessions. This is convenient because orchestral music is typically divided into movements.

Instructions

    • 1
Load files recorded in other programs for arrangement in Voyetra.

Load all of your sound files onto the computer. You can do this by either inserting a CD or a USB flash drive.

    • 2

Click "Start" and "My Computer" and select the appropriate storage device from the browser window. Minimize the browser window.

    • 3

Drag and drop the files from the CD or USB flash drive icon onto the desktop. Once you've loaded them into Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro you can save them elsewhere, but the desktop is a convenient location as you can access it quickly from the "File" menu of Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro .

    • 4

Double-click the desktop icon to launch Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro. It may take a few seconds for the program to launch fully.

    • 5

Click "File" and select "Open." This brings up a browser window from which you must select a song file from your hard drive. There is an audition button at the bottom of the browser window. Click on this to hear a clip of the file before importing it into the Voyetra Digital Orchestra Pro interface. Load in all of the sound files you need for your desired result, for example "Classical Strings 1" or "Mini Concerto 2."

    • 6

Open the "Event Editor" window. This is where the conductor parameters are located.

    • 7

Click the "Event List" tab in the "Event Editor" window.

    • 8

Drag and drop sound files from the main window into the "Event Editor" window. Arrange them in the order that you want them to appear.

    • 9

Click "Save" at the bottom of the "Event Editor" window to save the files in a playlist format. From the "Event Editor" window, you can now scroll through the items in the playlist using the tab key on your keyboard. This enables you to move from one section of a larger piece of music to the next.
