How to Create a DJ Booth

If you have aspirations of DJ-ing but don't have the money for all the equipment, don't worry. You don't have to spend a fortune. In fact, you can build your own DJ booth for less than a hundred dollars versus paying as much as $500 for one at the store.

Instructions

    • 1

Place two pieces of 42-inch PVC pipe parallel to two other pieces of 42-inch PVC pipe on the floor.

    • 2

Attach a T-shaped connector between the four pieces of 42-inch PVC pipe to create support for your booth.

    • 3

Place a PVC elbow connector to the ends of each 42-inch PVC pipe, attaching four elbows total. This will now form the front or face of your booth.

    • 4

Attach four pieces of 35-inch PVC pipe into the end of the elbows to create the sides of the booth.

    • 5

Connect the left side of the booth with a 48-inch piece of PVC pipe. Repeat this for the right side.

    • 6

Secure the 48-inch pieces of PVC pipe with elbow connectors. Your connected booth should now be able to stand upright.

    • 7

Line Velcro pieces throughout the top of your homemade booth.

    • 8

Place the opposing Velcro stripping throughout 5 yards of black, crushed velvet.

    • 9

Cover the skeleton of the booth with the crushed velvet, making sure to attach the opposing Velcro ends to one another.

    • 10

Place a wooden table inside your newly created booth to place your music equipment on.
