How to Make X3 Effects

The POD X3 from Line 6 is a guitar multi-effects unit containing 78 guitar amplifier modeling effects and over 200 effect presets for use with a guitar, bass or vocals. Some of the effects you can use and combine include reverb, delay, chorus and wah. In addition to the factory presets, you can create your own by tweaking the built-in effects and saving the results.

Instructions

      Press the "Amp," "Stomp," "Mod," "Delay" or "Verb" buttons to turn on the corresponding effect. The effect is on when the button is lit. Double-press a button to tweak the settings of the effect.

      Turn the buttons under the LCD screen to tweak the parameters of the effect. Each button corresponds to the parameter on the LCD screen it is under.

      Press the "Home" button when you are done editing an effect.

      Repeat Steps 1 to 3 to turn on and edit additional effects.

      Turn the silver knobs along the X3's perimeter to modify the tone and reverb.

      Save the effect preset by pushing the "Press to Save" knob. Turn the knob to choose a location to store the effect preset. Turn the leftmost knob under the screen to save the preset under "Tone 1" or "Tone 2." Turn the third knob to move the cursor on the screen. Turn the fourth knob to choose the characters for your preset's name. Push the "Press to Save" button again to finish saving your preset.
