Set up your speaker system in a location that will provide you with easy access to the stereo system. The left and right speakers should be placed on the left and right side of the room. Make sure the speaker system is in range of an electrical outlet, but do not plug in the system yet.
Attach the regular speakers by matching the color-coded cables to the back of the main stereo unit. There will be two cables per speaker; one with a red stripe will go inside the jack that is labeled with a "+" sign. Depress the tab located directly below the jack and thread the wire into the small hole in the jack. Do the same thing for the "-" wire.
Locate the subwoofer; it is the smallest speaker in the system. The subwoofer has a subwoofer control cable that attaches to the back of the stereo. Unlike the other speakers, there is only one cable for the speaker system, it is striped with the colors red and black.
Insert the subwoofer control cable into the remaining rear jack on the main stereo unit. Press down on the jack's tab, and insert the threaded metal wire directly into the hole on the jack. Release the tab to secure the wire.
Plug the stereo system into a wall outlet. Press the power button on the back of the subwoofer to turn the subwoofer on. Turn the main system on and test your system.
