When is piano made?
The piano was invented in the early 18th century by Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian instrument maker. He called his invention the "gravicembalo col piano e forte", which means "harpsichord with soft and loud". Cristofori's piano was a revolutionary new instrument that offered a much wider range of dynamics than the harpsichord. It quickly gained popularity, and by the end of the 18th century, the piano had become the dominant keyboard instrument in Europe.
