How do you play the highest E on Saxophone?

The highest E on saxophone is played with the "altissimo" fingering. This fingering is not taught in most beginning saxophone methods, as it is considered an advanced technique. To play the altissimo E, begin with the following fingering:

- Left hand:

- Index: closed tone hole 1

- Middle: closed tone hole 2

- Ring: closed tone hole 3

- Pinky: closed tone hole 4

- Right hand:

- Thumb: closed tone hole 10

- Index: open tone hole 8

- Middle: closed tone hole 7

- Ring: closed tone hole 6

Once you have this basic fingering, there are two additional modifications you will need to make to play the altissimo E. First, you will need to slightly loosen your embouchure and raise the back of your tongue. Second, you will need to increase your air pressure. This can be done by taking a deeper breath and blowing harder.

With practice, you will be able to play the altissimo E consistently. This fingering can also be used to play other altissimo notes, such as F#, G, and A.
