Who wrote the Boomer Sooner sheet music?

The music of "Boomer Sooner" is credited to Arthur M. Alden, while the lyrics are attributed to Oklahoma University student Richard Devereux. Arthur Alden served as OU's bandleader from 1915 to 1947.
