Day Jams is a rock music day camp held in locations throughout the United States. Washington state camps are typically held in Bellevue, Washington and last five days per session. The program, which is geared toward youth between the ages of 8 and 15, offers participants the opportunity to write songs, perform before a live audience and design their own posters, t-shirts and CD covers. Day Jams welcomes participants from all skill levels and welcomes beginners as well as those with music experience.
National Guitar Workshop is the largest summer music program in the United States and is held in locations throughout the U.S. each year. Washington-based programs offer residential and day camps for teens between the ages of 13 and 18, and students are urged to develop their craft through live performances and music education. Despite the name, National Guitar Workshop offers programs for a variety of musical instruments, including the guitar, keyboard, bass and drums.
