Make a website or have someone make it for you. The Internet is often the first place people look for a business or service. Make sure you have a web presence or you will be missing out on a lot of business. After you have a website, make sure you submit it to as many search engines as you can so that people can find your business on the Internet.
Get a listing in your local phone book. The phone book is another great source of advertising for your karaoke business. Private parties, clubs, restaurants and special events are often looking for a karaoke service to add entertainment. Make sure your name and number are in the phone book.
Make some business cards. There are places on the Internet that you can get business cards for free so there is no excuse for not having them. Take your business cards and tack them to bulletin boards in stores. Go to your local businesses and hand out your card and tell them about your service.
Offer a free trial. Reach out to businesses you would like to work for, offer them a free trial night of your karaoke service. If it goes well, you may get a permanent job there.
Go to trade shows. If you set up a booth at a trade show or expo, many people will hear about your business and you will get to hand out more of those business cards.
