After a trip to Memphis inspired him to establish an authentic Southern barbecue restaurant and blues club in Long Island, Chef Eric Rifkin opened Bobbique, named after his daughter, Bobbi. Signature dishes include St. Louis-style ribs, brisket and barbecue salmon and shrimp, and the restaurant serves more than 125 different beers. A stage in the main bar hosts blues bands.

The Brick House Brewery is in the oldest commercial building in Patchogue, Long Island, on the corner of Havens Avenue and Main Street. It was built around 1850 and operated as a dry-goods store until about 1914.
The menu consists of traditional steaks, salads and chicken as well as such Cajun favorites as jambalaya. The Brewery serves handcrafted beers, hosts blues bands and holds open blues jam sessions every Sunday.
