The Bronx is rich in culture and has plenty of bars and clubs that reflect its diversity. This New York City borough is known for its clubs that play diverse styles of music ranging anywhere from hip-hop to dancehall.     • Tahbu, formerly known as the Sofa Lounge, has had a change of management that revitalized this University Heights club in the Bronx. Tahbu has two main sections to party in and frequent musical guests. The extravagant showroom plays reggae, dancehall and radio hits. The upscale lounge area has dim lighting and cozy lounge chairs that created a relaxed atmosphere. According to the New York Daily News, Tahbu has the latest reggae, bachata and reggaeton music spun by New York's most popular DJ's. You should dress to impress when going out to this sleek Bronx club.

    Wild Palm

    • Wild Palm is nestled in the Bronx's Morris Park neighborhood just east of the Bronx Zoo. The club's casual comfort and tropical décor makes visitors feel very welcomed. This reggae club has a mixed crowd and often has musical guests. Guest DJs also include salsa, Spanish classics and reggaeton in their sets. The crowd at Wild Palm does not die down around midnight and most patrons stay until the last call. Wild Palm is one of the premiere late nightclubs in the Bronx that serves specialty cocktails without pretentious New York prices.

    Crystal Lounge

    • Located in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx, the Crystal Lounge is a friendly neighborhood club. The Crystal Lounge has a small and narrow space, but the seating and dance floor extends to the back. World music lovers will enjoy the dancehall soca Caribbean music and dancing at the Crystal Lounge. DJs spin mostly reggae, hip-hop and salsa on Friday and Saturday nights. This lounge has a mixed crowd and there is no cover charge to get in. There is a supermarket right next door, but parking is fenced off cars get towed at the owner's expense. The Crystal Lounge only has street parking and is accessible by the Intervale Ave stop on the 2 and 5 trains.
