Country Western Bars in Maine

Although Maine is a largely rural state, it is also in the northeast, and so Mainers do not have as much interest in country and western music as people in other parts of the country. There are not many bars in the state that specialize in country music, but there are few in southern Maine that have live musical entertainment.

The club offers a wide range of local musical entertainers, including country and western bands. Although you must bring your own booze, the club sells soda and water for mixing drinks. It also sells food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, chili, and french fries. Groups are advised to call in advance to reserve tables.

    Club Texas

    • Club Texas is in Auburn, a town in southern Maine. It has long been a popular destination for lovers of country and western music, although it has since expanded its selection to include other forms of music such as heavy metal. The club has a DJ who plays country and western hits, and country bands are often brought in to play live shows. The country ambiance is enhanced when the club occasionally brings out a mechanical bull for guests to ride. Club Texas has a kitchen that is open from 8 p.m to midnight and sells alcohol. Guests can also purchase western attire such as belt buckets and cowboy hats.

    Tiki Bar and Grill

    • Situated northwest of Portland in the southern part of Maine in the town of Naples, the Tiki Bar and Grill has a restaurant as well as a lounge area with live musical entertainment. The club holds various special events, including country and western nights on Thursday when quesadillas are offered at $2 off the regular price. There are live performers on Friday and Saturday evenings that play a wide range of music, including country and western. The club has an extensive menu with items such as seafood, steaks, Mexican food and homemade soups. It also holds daily specials and has an upstairs area available for groups.
