Large crowds come to Sing Sing to watch amateur singers perform. Country music tends to dominate, but rock and roll is welcome. There is a schedule of events and drink specials every night. Along with music, Sing Sing provides adult humor and audience-participation games. It advertises itself as "bawdy, gaudy and a little bit naughty." Sing Sing is in the lower downtown area, close to the Denver Chophouse and Brewery and Coors Field. It's open at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday. The show begins at 8 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, Sing Sing opens at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.

The Cowboy Lounge has cowboy dancing, music and drinks, including strong whiskey. It's the only country western bar in downtown Denver. It doesn't have karaoke every night, rotating with a number of live bands and singers. Impersonate Garth Brooks or any other country star, and the Cowboy Lounge will provide free dance lessons. Women don't pay a cover charge on Thursday nights. Wear jeans to feel right at home. The Cowboy Lounge is open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

The Open Tap and Grill gives the customer a maze of things to do. There are rooms for karaoke, pool, video games, foosball and darts. The Open Tap and Grill has live bands every Friday and Saturday. During the summer, live bands play on the patio in the afternoon on Fridays and Saturdays. The Open Tap and Grill is open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. It's open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Dress is casual.
