Plug one end of a microphone or instrument cable into the sound source, and plug the other end into the "MIC" or "INST" jack on the loop pedal.
Plug one end of a 1/4" TRS cable into the "OUTPUT" jack on the loop pedal, and plug the other end into the "INPUT" jack on the amp or DI box you are using to play live. Consult the venue's sound technician if you are not sure where to plug in.
Select an empty track on the loop pedal using the "PHRASE SELECT" knob. If all the tracks on the loop pedal are full, select a track you wish to erase, press "WRITE" and "EXIT" simultaneously such that both indicator lights start blinking, then press "WRITE" and "EXIT" simultaneously once more to erase the track.
Adjust the recording volume with the "INST" and "MIC" volume knobs. Turn the "GUIDE" knob all the way down if you do not want an audible drum track playing while you're trying to record your loops. You are now ready to begin your performance.
Press the left pedal with your foot during your performance to begin recording your loop. When you are finished, press the right pedal with your foot to stop recording, or press the left pedal to stop recording and immediately play back your loop.
Press the left pedal while the loop is playing to begin overdubbing on top of it. Press the left pedal once more to continue playing the loop with your added overdubs. To erase the loop, or an overdub you have just recorded, press and hold the left pedal until the indicator light blinks.
Press the right pedal to stop all playback. Press and hold the right pedal to erase the entire loop, overdubs and all.
