Power down the mixer, and allow about 10 to 15 minutes for the mixer to cool down. Unplug the AC power cable from the socket on the back of the mixer. Disconnect all external speakers, effects and instruments from the mixer.
Relocate the mixer to a sturdy work surface. Position the mixer so the front is facing upward. Remove all knobs from the front of the mixer. You can easily remove the knobs by pulling straight up on each. Use a 1/4-inch socket wrench to loosen and remove the 25 nuts fastening each 1/4-inch input connector to the front of the mixer.
Remove the three Phillips-head screws on each side of the mixer's faceplate. Loosen the 12 small Phillips-head screws from the middle and upper section of the faceplate. Then remove the 16 Phillips-head screws from each XLR microphone connector on the lower edge of the mixer's face plate.
Divide each set of knobs and screws into separate plastic bags so you don't get them confused when you put the mixer back together. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the right side of the faceplate. Begin to pry the faceplate out of the mixer's casing. Reach your available hand beneath the faceplate, and lift the entire faceplate out of the mixer. This will reveal the internal contents of your mixer.
