Resonator Roundups are held several times a year in Clarksville, Arkansas. In 2011, events have been scheduled in January, February, and April at the West Main Street Venue. The roundup offers a mix of open jamming for ticket-holders, educational workshops, and live performances.
Arcadia Valley Mountain Music Festival is held in Ironton, Missouri, in the spring and the fall. The festivals are held in the Arcadia Valley and Black River Recreation Area, and feature country bands, singer-songwriters, fiddlers, and other Appalachian music. A number of lodging options are available in Arcadia Valley for those who wish to spend the entire three days of the music festival on-site.
The Arkansas Fiddler's Convention is held annually in Harrison, on the south campus of North Arkansas College. The 2011 convention runs for four days in late March, including a full Friday and Saturday of events. While jam sessions are available throughout the convention, it also offers performances of bluegrass and gospel music. Convention attendance is free.
The Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival is held annually over three days in late June/early July in Conway, Missouri. Musical events include more than a dozen headlining groups as well as fiddle jam sessions. Lodging is available nearby, and RV camping is permitted. The Starvy Creek also holds an additional festival in Conway during mid-September.
