How to Get Front Row Tickets to Concerts

Listening to live music can be a powerful experience. Your enjoyment can come from feeling the sounds and energy of the performers combined with the audience, or it can also entail the thrill of seeing your favorite band live in concert. Seeing a concert from the first row definitely heightens the experience. It allows you to study the performers and to experience a sense of intimacy of spectatorship, even in a large arena. Getting front row tickets can be tricky, particularly for a hot event. Luckily, it's not impossible.

Instructions

  1. Online

    • 1

Visit the ticket service website for the arena of the concert of your choice, two days before the actual day of the concert. Prior to this time, most venues hold lots of first row tickets, but they start to release them 48 hours before the concert. Purchase any available front row seats, before someone else snatches them up.

    • 2

Continue to check back 36 and 24 hours before the concert for front row tickets, if you weren't able to purchase any previously. Check periodically, as the arena could release the front row at any time.

    • 3

Keep checking the ticket service website up until one or two hours before the concert. Arenas sometimes hold front row tickets up until the last hour before the concert. The minute you see front row availability, select those seats and purchase the tickets with your credit card.

    In Person

    • 4

Visit the ticket seller booth of the actual arena where the concert will be held two days before the concert. Inquire about the availability of front row tickets. Be polite and treat the people you encounter as potential allies.

    • 5

Continue to check back at the ticket seller booth periodically the day of the concert and hours before the concert. The ticket sellers rarely have advance knowledge of when the front row tickets will be released; they just know if they currently are or are not available.

    • 6

Purchase the front row tickets the moment they become available. You have to be ready to buy immediately, as if it's a desirable concert, those seats could go before you even have a chance to think the matter through.
