How to Get Front Row Seats at a Concert

A concert is a convivial form of entertainment. You can get together with friends and go watch your favorite band or singer play for hours, performing your favorite songs. Plus, if you don't mind the lawn seats or obstructed view seats, you don't have pay dearly for this form of entertainment. However, if you're able to afford higher-priced tickets and can purchase tickets shortly after they go on sale, it is possible to be in the front row at a concert.

Instructions

    • 1

Find out where your favorite musicians are scheduled to play through websites, such as Ticketmaster and Pollstar, or through an official band or artist website.

    • 2

Look over the seating chart for the venue where the concert is being held. Some concerts have standing room only, making the first row seats some distance away from the stage.

    • 3

Keep an eye out for pre-sale ticket offers. Most artists and bands have their own websites. Sometimes, the best seats for a concert are offered through the websites to people already in that artist or band's fan club.

    • 4

Decide on a website from which to buy your tickets, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation, and create an account on their website. This way, the ticket sale will be processed faster, making it more likely for you to access the best seats.

    • 5

Locate a computer with fast Internet speed and sign onto the ticketing website at least one hour before they go on sale. Front row seats will likely be the most expensive option, so choose that instead of a general search when the tickets go on sale.

    • 6

Keep trying, even if you didn't get first row seats during the initial sale. Visit a website like Stubhub, where people put tickets they have already purchased on sale. However, keep in mind that you will probably end up paying more than the initial price at this point.
