How to Make Drum Music Online

When asked what musical instrument they would like to play, many kids are quick to choose the drums. Many grownups would still like the chance to emulate their favorite rock drummer. With online drum set simulator, it's possible to learn to make drum music online without ever owning a physical drum set.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Abasoft.com and familiarize yourself with the online drum set pictured (see Resources section). This is a fairly normal-looking drum set. Most basic sets have a hi-hat cymbal, a large-crash cymbal, a snare drum, a bass drum and maybe a tom-tom.

Use your mouse and point it over one of the drum set's components. Click to hear what it sounds like.

    • 3

Practice making the various sounds of the drum-set pieces by using your keyboard. Where two letters are given, either one will work. The hi-hat cymbal on the far left uses either the colon or semicolon. With the shift key held down, the hi-hat plays a closed hi-hat sound. Without the shift key on, the hi-hat has an open sound.

Scroll down to "Drums online Games" and click on "Drums music machine free online game."

    • 5

Click the mouse on whatever drum you wish to enter into your drum part, and a dot will appear on the drum map that appears below the drum set. Continue entering notes until you have finished the entire sequence.

    • 6

Set the tempo at which you wish your drum piece to play by clicking on the yellow dot under "Temp =" and sliding it to the right for a slower tempo and left for a quicker tempo.

    • 7

Click on the "Play" button under your drum map to play your selection. If you want your selection to repeat itself, click on the "Loop" button.
