How to Set Up a Squeezebox

Logitech Squeezebox is a networked music system that allows you to listen to music throughout your house. By carefully placing the setup you can experience high-quality sound in every room, and easily control the music, too. The exact features depend on the system you choose, varying from small remotes to touch screen devices, but the general setup is the same.

      Install the Squeezebox software. This may be included on a CD with your Squeezebox system, or it can be downloaded from the Logitech website. You will need to create an account.

      Connect your AC adapter into the back of the Squeezebox receiver, and plug the adapter into a power supply. The light on the front of the Squeezebox should begin to flash.

      Connect your speakers into the back of the Squeezebox, using the supplied gold-plated cables.

      Follow the instructions on the screen of the controller. You will need to enter security information for your wireless network.

      Press the round button in the middle of the controller. Hold the button until the Squeezebox light changes color.

      Select a music source. You should have the option of local music or SqueezeNetwork.

      Scroll to the My Music icon, and select an album. Press "Play."
