How to Convert Napster Downloads to iTunes

Songs that are downloaded from Napster contain what is known as Digital Rights Management, or DRM for short. This basically means that the songs you download from Napster are digitally encoded to protect the music from being copied or transferred onto mp3 players or CDs. Fortunately for music lovers, there's a relatively simple (and legal) solution that will allow you to remove the DRM protection, enabling you to put your Napster-downloaded songs onto your iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your web browser and log onto tunebite.com.

    • 2

Click the red "Download" button located in the center of the page. Run the program when it's finished downloading. Install Tunebite using the Setup Wizard that pops up. Restart your computer.

    • 3

Open Tunebite once your computer has been rebooted. Click the "Add" icon and then select a file or folder that you want to convert. Select an output folder to store your files when prompted by Tunebite. Click the "Start" button to begin the conversion to a universal mp3.
