How to Put Music on a Compact Flash for a Honda Civic

As technology advances in both cars and digital music, it's becoming easier and easier to store and play MP3 files in cars. The newer Honda Civics now allow the option of storing a compact flash drive right into the dashboard. This means that in a few easy steps and with a single device, you can move hundreds of songs from your computer to your car.

Instructions

      Insert your compact flash drive into your USB compact flash adapter.

      Insert the USB compact flash driver into one of your computer's USB ports.

      Open "My Computer" under the "Start" menu. Double-click the flash drive icon.

      Find your folder that contains the MP3's you want to copy onto your compact flash drive (start by looking in the "My Music" folder if you're not sure where to begin).

      Select the songs you want to copy by clicking and highlighting them. Right-click the song (or group of songs) and select "Copy." Move back over to the USB compact flash menu you opened in Step 3 and right-click an empty area of the window. Click "Paste" to copy the songs.

      Exit out of both windows. Find the compact flash drive icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your computer screen and select "Safely Remove Hardware." Remove the adapter from your USB port, remove the compact flash from the adapter, and insert into your Honda Civic's compact flash holder.
