How to Convert an MP3 to eAAC+

MP3 and eAAC are two audio file codecs that can be used to format and play back music files on computers, mobile phones and MP3 players collectively. While MP3 is the most common playback codec, some media playback sources can only process certain codecs, such as eAAC. For this reason, users may opt to convert files from one codec to another. MP3 to eAAC file conversions can be done with the use of media converters, which are open source tools that can be found online.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Internet browser and access an online media file converter.

    • 2

Locate the uploading portal when the site loads. Click the "Browse" or "Upload a File" tab and locate the MP3 file for conversion.

    • 3

Select the MP3 file of your choice from your computer's hard drive and click "Open." The MP3 file will be visible in the site's uploading tool.

    • 4

Browse through the output settings to indicate which codec the MP3 file should be changed to. Select "eAAC or "AAC" in the output settings.

    • 5
