How do I Convert an AIFF File to an MP3 File?

The AIFF format is an audio format mainly used by Macintosh computers. AIFF files aren't compressed, making their file size rather large. The MP3 format is used on all operating systems and is much smaller. MP3 is usually the default format supported by mobile phones and portable audio players. Converting AIFF files to the MP3 format can be done quickly with audio-conversion software.
