Connect the SCSI cable to the SCSI connector on the MPC 2000 and the zip drive.
Set the SCSI Termination Switch to "1" if it's the last SCSI device you're connecting to the MPC 2000 and to "0" if there are more SCSI devices to connect afterward.
Set the SCSI ID to "5" (the MPC 2000 is automatically set to "6").
Turn on the MPC 2000 and press the "Shift" key and the "Disk" button at the same time to go into "Disk Mode."
Go to the "Device" field on the MPC 2000 and choose the SCSI ID of the zip drive.
Partition the zip drive by setting the information in the "Parts" field to "A-D," which will allow the disk drive to be partitioned into four equal spaces.
Press "DO IT" to format the SCSI drive. When the formatting is complete, the drive is ready for use.
