How to Compress AAC Files
Advanced audio coding (AAC) files are the type of audio files used by Apple's iTunes. When attempting to transfer numerous AAC files via email, CD or flash drive, you will want to compress the files first, making them smaller and easier to move. Compressed files are also useful for storing songs that you do not listen to regularly, but do not want to delete. Both Apple computers and PCs come with compression software, although stronger software for compressing files can be purchased.
