Open iTunes, then open the iTunes preferences menu.
Click “Import Settings.” In the window that opens, select a compressed audio format, such as the “MP3 Encoder,” from this menu and click “OK” to dismiss the window.
Click “OK” to exit iTunes preferences.
Drag the AIFF file that you would like to compress into the iTunes library. Click the imported AIFF file to select it.
Select the “Advanced” menu at the top of the iTunes screen and select “Create MP3 Version.” iTunes will compress the AIFF file and convert it into the MP3 format, creating a new file.
Repeat this process for each additional AIFF file you would like to compress.
Open Switch, then click “Add Files.”
Navigate through the files on your computer and select the AIFF files you would like to compress.
Select a compressed audio format, such as MP3, from the “Output Format” menu.
Choose the folder you would like to save the compressed AIFF files into by clicking “Browse” next to “Output Folder.”
Click “Convert” and Switch will compress the AIFF files and convert them into the MP3 format, saving new files into the folder you chose.
Open dBpoweramp, then click “Browse.”
Navigate through the files on your computer and select the AIFF files you would like to compress.
Select a compressed audio format, such as MP3, from the “Converting To” menu.
Choose the folder you would like to save the compressed AIFF files into by clicking “Folder” next to “Output Location.”
Click “Convert” and dBpoweramp will compress the AIFF files and convert them into the MP3 format, creating new files in the folder you chose.
