How to Shrink a WAV File

WAV files are often quite large in size because they contain high-quality, uncompressed audio. Because WAV files are so big, shrinking them is a great way to save space on your computer. You can shrink WAV files by converting them into a smaller, compressed audio format, such as MP3. Although you will be reducing the audio quality of the WAV files during the process, you will save a considerable amount of space on your computer. A typical MP3 is one-tenth the size of a full-quality WAV file.
