Insert the USB transfer cable to both computers via USB outlets. Both computers should register one another by opening a window urging the user to take action.
Click on the icon that represents the new computer in the USB action window on the computer with the files. A folder will open and prompt you to choose a location on the new computer for the files. You can choose the basic main folders on the computer, such as "My Documents", "My Music", and "Desktop. Choose the new computer's original Windows music folder.
Open your music folder, where all of your music files are stored. Media Player plays these files through links, so there is no Media Player library folder. You need to find your original Windows music folder.
Highlight the music folder on the old computer by clicking once on it.
Drag the folder from the old computer onto the new computer by dropping it into the open folder from step 2.
Let the transfer finish before touching the computer. This transfer may take some time, depending on the size of your music collection.
Check your new computer once the transfer has completed. As directed in step 2, the music folder will be in the original Windows music folder.
Open Media Player on your new computer and click the "Library" button. It will ask you to import songs, so select all of the files from your music folder. All of the same songs will appear in your Media Player library. You have now moved your Media Player library.
