Windows Media Player can easily complete this task for you if you are using a PC. If using a Macintosh computer, iTunes can complete this task for you. Both programs come preinstalled on their native operating system.

Instructions

  1. On a PC

      Open Windows Media Player.

      Insert the CD you would like to rip to MP3 into your computer.

      Click “Rip Settings,” select “Format” and choose “MP3.” This will determine what audio format the CD is ripped in.

      Click “Rip CD” and the CD will be ripped to MP3 and saved on your computer.
