The Best Way to Rip a CD to MP3

On a PC

  Open Windows Media Player.

  Insert the CD you would like to rip to MP3 into your computer.

  Click “Rip Settings,” select “Format” and choose “MP3.” This will determine what audio format the CD is ripped in.

  Click “Rip CD” and the CD will be ripped to MP3 and saved on your computer.

  Eject the CD from your computer when this process is complete.

On a Macintosh

  Open iTunes.

  Open the iTunes preferences menu.
