How to Load a MIDI File Into a Kurzweil K2500 Sequencer

The Kurzweil K2500 is an 88-key electric keyboard that enables you to create and modify sounds using its onboard music interface sequencer. Along with separate output and input slots for external MIDI gear, the Kurzweil K2500 allows you to load and export MIDI files. To load MIDI files on the Kurzweil K2500 you must use the Disk Mode function. This allows you to scroll through the internal directory, which holds all of the system files and memory.

Instructions

      Change display options by pressing "Disk."

      Power on the unit and press the "Disk" button under the LED display screen.

      Select the "Load" function.

      Scroll through the list of options and select "Load" by using the controller knob or soft key on the right.

      Type in the destination number of the MIDI file using the onboard keypad, or use the controller knob and select the file.

      Press the "Enter" key to the left of the numeric pad to play the file.
